In order to provide even more services to allow to keep engine installed on aircraft and depending of the borescope inspection results, some defects can be rectified directly on wing in accordance with the manufacturer's documentation allowable limits and rectifications rules.
Permanent repairs could be performed with specialized and certified tools thru the same access points as the borescope inspection port’s. Inspectors use " wolf tool " material.
Such solution will save time and money as it avoids engines unplanned removal and require to be send on shop repair station
